Each team needs a mobile base that supports race day workflows, provides safe access to vehicles and equipment, and presents a professional image at events. Off the shelf solutions rarely match the unique equipment and operational styles of these teams.</p>
<p>Allweld works with teams racing V8 sprint cars, motorbikes, drag cars, vintage vehicles, and more, delivering transporters that are tailored to their specific discipline and way of working.</p>
<p><strong>Solution – what Allweld delivered</strong></p>
<p>Allweld specialises in fully customised motorsport transporters, developed through collaborative design with each racing team. Layouts are created to support performance, safe access, and efficient track day operations, with the transporter acting as a practical extension of the team’s garage.</p>
<p>Built for purpose interiors can incorporate living quarters, mechanics’ workspaces, tyre and tool storage, spare parts racking, and dedicated areas for specialised equipment. Each transporter is structurally engineered for durability, compliance, weight distribution, and load management over long distance travel.</p>
<p><strong>Electrical integration and modular storage</strong></p>
<p>Advanced electrical and systems integration is included as required, such as power management, lighting, inverter/charger systems, data points, and options for shore power and generator connectivity. These systems support both workshop activity and living or hospitality spaces at events.</p>
<p>Modular storage is designed around each team’s workflow, from motorbike stands and pit gear racks to drag car components, sprint car wings, tyres, drums, wheels, fluids, and tools. The aim is to make critical items accessible, organised, and secure during travel and at the track.</p>

<p>The scope of work includes design and engineering, fabrication and assembly of robust truck bodies, and integration of modular components such as tool storage, compartments, and access systems. <p>Pirtek required a standardised canopy solution for its national mobile service fleet, covering both medium rigid service trucks and ute based service vehicles. The canopies had to support hose pressing, crimping, and fluid transfer work while maintaining safety, accessibility, and consistent operator ergonomics across branches.</p>
<p>The goal was to create layouts that would work reliably in demanding field conditions, simplify training for operators moving between vehicles, and support a scalable, maintainable fleet.<br />
Solution – what Allweld delivered</p>
<p>Allweld designed modular service canopies tailored specifically to Pirtek’s workflows, with common sub assemblies used across both medium rigid trucks and ute service vehicles. The internal layouts were built around hose pressing, crimping equipment, fluid transfer systems, storage, and consumables, ensuring everything had a logical and safe place.</p>
<p>Canopies were fabricated as robust, corrosion resistant structures integrated into the vehicle chassis or body, with engineered load distribution and certified mounting points for equipment such as hose presses, generators, compressors, and storage systems.</p>
<p><strong>Electrical, ergonomics, and safety features</strong><br />
Allweld provided electrical and systems integration, including safe 12V/24V power distribution, inverter/charger systems, work lighting, beacons, GPOs, and compliant isolation and labelling to support field service operations.</p>
<p>Ergonomics and safety were built into the design through non slip flooring, certified anchor points, safe reach racking, gas strut or lift assist doors, drip trays and spill control measures, fire extinguishers, first aid placement, and document stations. These details support safe, efficient work in varied conditions.</p>
<p><strong>Ute variant alignment and fleet standardisation</strong><br />
Alongside the medium rigid truck canopies, Allweld developed scaled canopy packages for dual cab and extra cab utes, retaining the same internal layout logic, parts commonality, and service procedure flow. This approach reduces training time and inventory complexity across Pirtek branches.</p>
<p>Allweld also supports repairs, servicing, and mid life upgrades, including racking changes, electrical refreshes, and lighting enhancements. The modular design allows branches to standardise equipment locations and choose between basic, standard, and heavy duty fit outs depending on zone requirements.</p>

<p>Each vehicle needed to integrate clinical functionality, ergonomic layouts, and safety features within Mercedes‑Benz Sprinter platforms, while maintaining full compliance with Australian Design Rules (ADR) and QAS internal standards.</p>
<p><strong>Solution – what Allweld delivered</strong></p>
<p>Allweld designed, engineered, and manufactured complete ambulance fit‑outs in‑house, covering both modular stretcher body and single‑stretcher configurations. Working from its Maryborough facility, the team handled layout design, fabrication, assembly, and final fit‑out, ensuring consistency and quality across the program.</p>
<p>The internal design team collaborated closely with QAS to refine compartment layouts, equipment locations, and ergonomic details. Clinical functionality, safe access, and paramedic workflows were considered throughout the process so each vehicle would be intuitive and efficient to use in real emergency conditions.</p>
<p><strong>Ongoing support and fleet services</strong></p>
<p>Beyond new vehicle builds, Allweld provides ongoing support to keep the QAS fleet operational. This includes rapid turnaround for repairs and component replacements, responsive stock ordering and inventory management, and coordination of servicing and maintenance activities.</p>
<p>Allweld is also integrated into the SG Fleet national network, supporting QAS and other government clients with scheduled maintenance and fit‑out upgrades. This supply‑chain role helps ensure continuity of service and access to the parts and expertise required to keep emergency vehicles ready for deployment.</p>

<p>Through this program, Allweld has delivered more than 60 fully fitted ambulance vehicles for QAS, consistently meeting demanding production schedules of around four ambulances per month. <p>The client approached Allweld with a unique requirement: to modify a semi-truck to serve as a comfortable living space for remote living during motorsport events. The vehicle needed to include a spacious living area with a kitchenette, sitting and sleeping areas, bathroom facilities and ample storage. The challenge was to create a functional, high-quality living environment within the constraints of a semi-truck&#8217;s structure.</p>
<h4>Our Solution</h4>
<p>To meet the client&#8217;s needs, Allweld utilised advanced CAD-CAM and CNC technologies to design and manufacture the custom components required for this transformation. The interior layout was carefully planned to maximise space and functionality. We incorporated a kitchenette with modern appliances, a comfortable sitting area, a cosy sleeping area and well-designed bathroom facilities. Storage solutions were seamlessly integrated to ensure ample space for all necessary items. Essential appliances, including a fridge, TV and air conditioner, were installed to provide the comforts of home while on the road. Our team ensured that every detail was meticulously crafted to meet the client&#8217;s specific requirements.</p>

<p>We were contacted by First Responders on a barrier island off the coast of Queensland, who needed a boat with the capacity to function like an ambulance. The vessel needed to be fast, safe and capable of providing emergency medical services. Additionally, it required an electrical system robust enough to handle refrigeration and other essential emergency equipment. The challenge was to design a craft that could meet these specific requirements and operate efficiently in demanding conditions.</p>
<h4>Our Solution</h4>
<p>To address the client&#8217;s needs, we conducted detailed consultations to understand their specific requirements. Using our advanced CAD-CAM and CNC machinery, we designed a solution that we knew could be produced with precision. Our skilled welders then executed the modifications on a commercial vessel, ensuring all components were seamlessly integrated. The design included spaces for medical equipment, a patient bed, secure storage and an electrical system capable of supporting refrigeration and other emergency devices, all while maintaining the vessel&#8217;s speed and safety.</p>

<p>Allweld was approached by a military client requiring modifications to their existing fleet of vehicles and equipment to make them suitable for the harsh and demanding conditions of the Australian bush. The vehicles needed enhancements for rough terrain, extreme temperatures and remote operation capabilities, ensuring both reliability and durability.</p>
<h4>Our Solution</h4>
<p>To meet these needs, Allweld designed and implemented a comprehensive set of modifications. We upgraded the suspension systems and fitted all-terrain tyres to handle the rugged landscape. Reinforced armour was added for protection against environmental hazards and advanced cooling systems were installed to prevent overheating. We also enhanced dust and water sealing to protect vital components and integrated long-range communication systems for maintaining connectivity in remote areas.</p>
<p>Fuel efficiency was improved and fuel tank capacity was increased to extend operational range. Additional storage spaces were created for essential supplies and camouflage features were applied to blend with the bush environment. We equipped the vehicles with emergency medical kits and recovery gear, including winches, to handle difficult terrains. Lastly, we enhanced lighting systems and integrated night vision capabilities for low visibility operations.</p>

<p>The project resulted in a fleet of military vehicles that were robust, reliable and fully equipped for the challenging conditions of the Australian bush.
